Excellent value for very yummy barbecue. Had the chicken dinner plate, two large juicy smoked boneless chicken thighs with barbecue beans and macaroni salad. Special price was only 7.50 and regular is only 8.95. A very generous pulled pork sandwich and one side was only 5.95-6.95. Super friendly quick counter service. And a super friendly kitty cat towns the hallways but is nonobtrusive.
This place is great it needs some refinement but the food is amazing and its a great value to boot. The guy who runs this place is nothing short of nice and the sports theme is great.
Best ribs I ve ever tasted!
Their ribs and smoked chicken were to die for! Homemade potato and mac salad were delicious! Will definitely eat there again! Well worth the money.
Worth the hour drive when they are open to get ribs. Best ribs around!
Excellent meets, simple menu, best BBQ you'll find in the Astoria area, no question. No kids menu.
Really enjoyed this place! I had the pulled pork sandwich, and it was wonderful; they don't skimp on the meat, rather they pile it on! The sweet tea was wonderful, the best I've ever had on the West Coast. Above all else, the owner is incredibly friendly; he really makes eating here a pleasure. I will definitely be returning!
Friendly owner and great BBQ. Bring your appetites!
It is very cheap and very fast, nice guys working the counter. Quality of food is ok, not exceptional. It's served out of trays cafeteria style, like a little country restaurant. Doesn't compare to my favorite BBQ places back in the Carolinas, but it did the job.
BBQ is great, beans and cornbread are good. Friendly service.
great food and... my favorite is the pull pork sandwich and smoked taters salad
Food was horrible, it was cold and didn't seem fresh it was like the food was cooked few days ago. The place was dirty, and their version of BBQ chicken is baked chicken with BBQ sauce (not real BBQ). Definitely will not be coming back. Amazed that this place is still in business, and luckily we didn't get food poisoning.
Have to stop and try it. Best BBQ around!
Very generous and tasty pulled pork sandwich.
Pulled pork sandwich was amazing! We drove to Astoria from Kennewick Washington to get Seafood and come across an amazing barbecue place that caught my taste buds away from all Seafood! I will be back every time I'm in astoria!
Sandwich board a block away directs you in, spend 10 min to find parking, only to find it's closed during business hours.
Super yummy pulled pork sand with mac or tator salad. Nice owner. Quick food. Great price!
I want to thank you guys for catering to us at the EWP plant. Everything you make for us is awesome!
The brisket and pulled pork were awesome. The cornbread was gross, but I don't like cornbread anyway.
Great value for the food. Tender and tasty. Service was friendly. Clean.
This food is amazing, we have actually driven to Astoria just to eat here. The owner is great and very friendly, he's also a motor cycle guy and if you are interested it makes for great conversation.
Best BBQ in the area! Fantastic! Also, don't pass on it if you're a motorcycle fan! The owner has a bunch of vintage bikes and great memorabilia.
I've been in the restaurant industry for over a decade, born and raised in the South. Best damn BBQ I've found on the West Coast hands down. Decor is unpretentious and much like BBQ joints down south. Great eats at a dirt cheap price! Fed a family of 6 with 2 teenaged boys for $30, we were all stuffed and had leftovers.
Horrible... almost puked it up ..ran out of there quick fast and in a HURRY
good, fast, and filling. simple
Food was good, wife thought ribs were a little dry. Sauce was awesome. Almost left as no one was inside started to leave then saw owner out front. Would come back just right when he opens so stuff is not sitting in warmers
We lived in the south and grown up with home BBQ experts but nothin beats Bruce's!!
Excellent pulled pork. No kids menu but wet dog cafe is near and you can get kids meals to go. Owner let us bring in food for the child!
Absolutely delicious BBQ here, the spot is right on the water and shares a building with an antique market. The guy running it is quite the character and loves motorcycles, I chatted with him since we both shared the same make of bike (Triumph) and both loved the triple engine. Prices were great, the ribs were awesome and the cornbread was perfect, plus served with plenty of butter to slather all over it!
Good eats and the prices can't be beat! Stop by for lunch or an early dinner!
Family of 4 easily stuffed for $22!!! Delicious BBQ
The pulled pork was great. The guy who runs the place was very friendly.
Very dirty place. I had cat hair on my bread and black specs on the bottom of it. I couldn't tell if it was mold but no one else has specs. Meat was cold and guy was very rude. We will not be returning to this place. Yuck
Love this place. Great BBQ. Go for the ribs!
Really good BBQ! I had the beef brisket sandwich and baked beans. It's a pulled style brisket, not sliced like I usually get other places, but the sauce was so good it made up for it! The owner is super nice and the price is great. Would definitely eat here again and recommended it to all BBQ lovers.
You can't beat the price for all the food you get! The BBQ beef brisket was tender and smoky smothered in some of the best sauce I've ever tasted. Same flavor profile with the ribs. Only complaint would be the pulled pork sandwich my son ordered and the cornbread: just a little dry for our liking. The owner is very endearing and would check in to see how we were. Thank you!
Very delicious, and a very generous portion!
Excellent food. Very nice service. Best place to eat in town. Put it on your list of must-do in Astoria. Can't say enough. Just go.
Excellent bbq for the price. We got two different sandwiches which seemed like we had two different sauces. Would recommend to anyone who enjoys a good bbq.
Food was perfect and owner is really nice and cool to talk to
Cozy little BBQ restaurant with great service! Very reasonable price for a delicious lunch. Would definitely come back for more.
Large portions respectively for how cheap it was. The pulled pork was not bad but the beans were pretty damn good.
Great made in house RIBS...BEANS and iced tea
I found the gentleman who runs the place to be very rude when asking questions about the food..The people behind me was treated a little nicer. When they went to pay the man did not care that he cursed in front of 2 children while quoting someone. I found him so rude I had to stand up and say something to him about using that kind of language. Will not be back.
This was the best BBQ in Oregon. If you come to Astoria, you must stop by.
